I seen a few mixed reviews before I went to Hotel Splendid Palace but I can assure you this hotel was amazing, yes the decor is a bit old fashioned but to be honest, your not there to sit in your room. The rooms were spotless, hats of to the maids who cleaned our room, you have a small fridge which is adequate, we fitted 2 bottles of wine, water, chocolate and cheeses in ours. We were half board which is not for me, can't fault the food by I like to eat out, which we did on 2 occasions. Breakfast was very nice, your usually hotel breakfast. Dinner usually had a choice of 3 pasta dishes, a roast dish and maybe 1 or 2 other meat or veg dishes. I loved the selection of puddings, great choices. The staff in the restaurant were so helpful, my husband and I preferred to eat out on the terrace as it was alot quieter than inside, it was not always set up but they did not hesitate to set it up for us. After dinner we usually went up to thr terrace for a drink and again the bar staff were fab, special mention to Simone he always had a laugh with you, always remembered what you drank and your room number. Pool area was quite quiet, we preferred the pool just down the lane on your left, not as busy and stunning views. So lastly if your thinking of booking, go for it, if you ask for a lake room you will not get a better view I don't think in Limone. Don't ask for a pool room as they are level with the pool with no privacy and you don't get the view of the lake.

Views are probably the best in the world. Stopped in a classic poolside room which was very poor. Very small, old furniture. Tiny shower. Air con started at 20 degrees. No tea and coffee although there was a fridge. The pool side rooms are literally on the pool so no privacy if someone on the sunbed. Resturant staff very pleasant and also bar staff. Reception staff very rude and not helpful unless you can speak Italian or German. Food was average and signs up telling you that you can't take food from restaurant or drinks and also around the pool you must only buy food and drinks from hotel. Ideal location for Limone. Gym very poor of your expecting weights as only 1 multigym machine and cardio equip. Will definitely be returning ti Limone as spectacular but NOT to this hotel. There are plenty more in the area which are more modern and certainly more helpful.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location and views! In addition, I had no problem getting gluten-free food at the hotel as a celiac, both for breakfast and dinner. Well informed staff that made sure I didn’t take anything with gluten, and numbers on all dishes indicating if they contain specific allergens.

My wife and I stayed at the Splendid Palace in June this year and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough to help. A warm welcome from Simone and Michaela at the bar along with Andrea to the helpful staff in the restaurant including Antonio, Anna and everyone else. The rooms were very clean and yes the shower (as a few people have mentioned) is small - imagine yourself standing akin to the the Statue of Liberty whilst lathering up, but everything else is superb. The food was excellent. We selected half-board and the variety was great, quality good and portions plentiful. Limone sul garda itself is a fabulous place, so beautiful with plenty to do and easy access to other areas around the lake with the regular ferries. We enjoyed it so much, we have already booked our return at the hotel for next year.

Badly aged hotel from the 70ies .. Old rooms, not noice isolated as one hears everything from neighboring rooms .. they started vacuuming and cleaning at 8 o clock in the morning on a Saturday ! No need for a wake up call .. breakfast finishes at sharp 10!! Against all this background… bad value for money Not a good choice

Myself and the hubbie spent a week in this beautiful hotel. Our room was on the third floor with amazing views of the lake, room was spotless & bed comfortable. The view of the lake from the outside terrace is nothing short of breathtaking. Staff were fantastic. A big thank you to the wonderful talented chefs who served up the most tasteful of dishes that never disappointed. To Antonio and the Team that looked after us in the mornings and the evenings in the dining room, thank you! And last but not least, a big thank you to Simone who served us every evening in the bar, always with a smile on his face. The hotel is perfectly situated, within a 2 minute walk you will arrive at the port were you can hop on a boat and visit other towns on the lake, the hotel is also close to other beautiful restaurants and bars. There is the alternative too, walking along the enchanting unspoilt narrow cobbled streets, window shopping and maybe stopping off at a local eatery and enjoying the local cuisine along with an Aperol Spritz!

Just back from a week in Limone on Lake Garda with Topflight, staying in Splendid Palace Hotel on half board basis. One of the best holidays I've ever been on. From start to finish it ticked all the boxes. Topflight Rep at the Resort, Lynsey, was professional and helpful and contactable at all times. The staff in the Hotel were pleasant and helpful from the front desk right through to dining room and cleaning staff. Pleasant and courteous. The room was comfortable and sufficient. The view from the Balcony was another story. It was truly stunning. The view of the Lake never gets boring. The views from this Hotel are simply magnificent. The buffet breakfast and dinner was delicious with so much choice. I can highly recommend Topflight and this Hotel . It was simply a wonderful week away in a stunning location..

30 years or more back in time. I can hear my neighbours through the pipes in the bathroom . If you are not able to walk in a good manner, please choose something else because you will have to walk a lot. Furthermore stairs. And you will struggle with your suitcases. Not customer friendly. You pay a lot of money for an old environment and every piece of luxury will cost you extra. There is no coffee machine or something to make tea. The balcony has no roof so drops will fall on you. The bathroom is tiny and provides a small shower. So big people have a big problem. Reception clerks are friendly and helpful. They speak English. Cleaning ladies are very tidy and friendly. At the swimming pool the beds have cushions but they will lay in the rain so when you need them they are soaking wet. Breakfast: sufficient. Plenty to choose from. Dinner buffet for €25,00 Freshly cooked meals. Enough to choose from. Desserts are great. Parking: steep down, so make sure your car has the power to climb the hill. Fitness room is available. Conclusion: one time visit and that is it. There are better choices to make but the view is priceless and that alone will cost you.

Beautiful authentic hotel with amazing views of Limone sul Garda and over the lake. The view from the hotel bar terrace, especially in the evening, breathtaking, the ambience chilled and relaxed. Professional, friendly employees - all make you feel welcome and happy to be there. Spotless, spacious, lake view bedroom. There are traditional and more modern bedrooms to choose from. We have always been happy with the traditional rooms though some may refer to them as more old fashioned. Bathroom and shower room very small but, for the two of us, adequate, considering the awesome views from our balcony and, with so many things to do outside in the sun, we were hardly in the room! Fantastic outside pool with sun loungers and umbrellas. Lovely Italian cuisine. A happy place! Love it!

If this is the 4th best hotel in Limone I’d hate to see the rest! Room was like a Fawlty Towers remake, bathroom from the 60’s, only one socket, poor aircon, the list goes on. Half board was poor, food like a cheap ferry trip to Europe. Avoid like the plague

The location is indeed splendid being a short walk to the ferry and the town centre but it would be difficult for people with either walking or breathing difficulties due to the steep hill and steps going back. Unfortunately our room (409) was the worst of our several visits previously, smaller in size to accommodate the corridor/door to the pool. This also reduced the size of the balcony. There was no privacy as the pool sunbeds abutted the balcony so you had to pull the curtains to change in the afternoon. The 2 socket outlets by the bed are unusable if you have a standard British adaptor plug as they foul the light switches, so the only usable socket was if you unplugged the tv. The bathroom was fair but the shower is tiny, you knocked your elbows on the screen/doors especially getting to your feet. The decorations inside the room has not changed since our first visit over 10 years ago and it was dated then. However the corridor looks ok as it has been . The pool is ok, clean, plenty of sunbeds ALL with parasols/sun umbrellas something which you do not always get in 5* hotels. Although we had a reasonable time we will probably not return.

Just back from a week staying in this hotel, would highly recommend, can't say a bad word about it, location and views are superb, spotlessly clean and staff very friendly, our favourite had to be Jeton the bar waiter, so hardworking and friendly.view from our pool view room and from bar terrace at night

We returned for the first time since COVID due to the understandable strict restrictions. And we were immediately relieved to see that apart from cosmetic improvements nothing had changed. The charm of this hotel is in ' italianness' . Some may call it dated but to us it is old fashioned Italian charm with spectacular views over the beautiful lake. The food was outstanding in the buffet but the quantity of appetisers has dropped. There used to be tables filled with lots of choices sadly no longer so. Lovely salad bar and stunning pasta options cooked fresh for you. Soup as well only one choice though each night. The main courses were excellent. Turkey, lamb, pork, beef dishes and roasts and veal. Even curried chicken one night. The desserts I am afraid were very disappointing. We walked into town every night for an Ice-cream sit down coppa. Breakfast had omelettes, fried eggs and scrambled, bacon, mushrooms and grilled toms. Pancakes and croissants and small cakes, no Italian Madeira cake which was always a highlight with chocolate spread so that was sad for me. Breads for toast and rolls, jams, yogurts and fresh fruit. I am sorry to say that the older staff had retired and the replacements didn't engage even if you tried to talk to them and I speak reasonable Italian. They looked glum and unhappy the only exceptions were Francesco and 2 other male waiters. The chefs apart from the pasta chef and lovely man with a beard were slow and surly. And when you see the manager of the restaurant you see why. He didn't once greet us, we saw him say hello only once as some guests stood in front of him so he had no choice. When you are used to the manager getting to know guests by their names and greeting them at the bottom of stairs, this was our biggest disappointment. The staff at the upstairs bar and in reception were lovely, kind and friendly. Couldn't ask more from them. Our room had a spectacular view which we enjoyed and loved as always sitting out on the balcony. Yes small bathrooms and shower but never had bothered us so didn't this time. Kept expertly cleaned by a lovely lady every day. It broke our hearts to leave the gorgeous Limone and Splendid Palace and can't wait to return.

Reception, cleaning, dining room service (buffet), view, all excellent. Room 103 adequate but not large, has balcony, fridge & room safe. Down side: Wifi a bit variable; loud amplified live music through the ceiling - ground floor 0 is above -- until 11 pm twice per week followed by much scraping of chairs. Better choose lower floors if early sleep is wanted. No TV channels for English speakers though plenty of guests are not Italian. Limone seems to be a tourist magnet, shops aimed at same. Little choice of easy walking owing to position at the bottom of a steep mountain face. For walking Riva would perhaps be better, Poli supermarket & snack bar in Riva is first class, close to the port and open all day including Sunday. Riva is easily accessible from Limone by regular ferry and is much bigger.

We went as a family of eleven to celebrate 🍾 my 50th and I have to say we couldn't have picked a better hotel everything was first class, especially the staff, Andrea, Simone and Michella couldn't have done enough for us they made us feel so so welcome. The rooms were spotless and the cleaning staff couldn't have done any more for us they went over and beyond . We stayed in rooms 104, 108,107,109. We will definitely be back . We reallt should have stayed 10days. If you are looking to stay somewhere in Lake Garda this is your hotel location couldn't have been better.
